What a busy Christmas! I had lots of orders over the Christmas period and was also very busy making a few things for myself! Finally getting round to updating the website,
facebook photo albums and
etsy &
folksy shops! Here are a few photos to show you just what I have been up to....
Christmas fabric rag wreaths. The 3rd one I made with my Grandma. We used to make wool pom poms with her when we were little. She made this pom pom and I added it to the centre of the wreath. I also did another craft session at the International Cafe in Penarth where we made Christmas tree pom pom decorations.
The christmas pudding tea cosy which I made for Christmas 2011 made another appearance this year.
Christmas bunting made it's way into the Design Management Partnership office (my full time job as an interior designer!)
Christmas with the Kranks inspired Christmas waistcoat. Christmas fabric detail to the back tie, front pockets and inner facings.
Ikea Christmas fabric from last season, originally bought to make a stocking - this year transformed into a cushion.
My favourite thing this Christmas was the cake topper I ordered from
Miss Cake. She makes some beautiful cake toppers for all occasions. Definitely worth checking out for an unusual finish to a celebration cake. She also makes jewellery and pretty much anything acrylic!
Another first this Christmas was a Christmas themed cupcake decorating class which I went to with my sister Jenna at
Emma Jane's Cupcake Kitchen. It was the first time she had held a cupcake class and was great fun. I love baking but have always been a bit nervous when it came to piping but Emma was a great teacher. Emma Jane is holding her next classes for Valentine's day so worth signing up for!
Cake's before
The finished articles!
Last year I made Christmas oranges on Christmas morning with my boyfriend, Allyn. This year we made them enough in advance to appreciate the smells of oranges & cloves! Also recycled Christmas ribbon from Christmas presents we received in previous years.
Belated Christmas party with the girls resulted in Christmas cocktails. They tasted amazing! Frozen cranberries with vodka, ginger beer, cranberry juice & lime topped off with a candy cane!
