Fabric Wreath Ladies Craft Evening

Last week I hosted a craft evening for a group of ladies who have sent up their own Women's Institute style group. where they get together once a month and try a new skill or craft. Their latest evening involved making fabric rag wreaths. You can see the fantastic results below! All materials, hoops, fabrics and hearts were provided and it was down to them to choose their colour scheme and get crafting!

Summer Craft Evening

Heres hoping for an Indian summer! Fancy making your own hanging garden garland in preparation for an Indian summer? CraftyCakes is providing the opportunity to socialise, drink and eat cake while creating your own unique garland in the design of your choice.  And if summer doesn’t make it, why not bring the outdoors in and decorate your house for an indoor bbq!There will be examples on display to provide you with inspiration!  Here's a few ideas to get you inspired...

Jubilee Bunting Evening

In preparation for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee we held a Jubilee bunting making evening at our new venue in Insole Court. Our new venue allows all crafters to be sat around a central table so they can join in together and take a sneaky peak at everyone else's work! The craft involved using paper bunting templates and a mixture of fabrics, felt and buttons to create their own unique garland ready for the weekends celebrations.

Jubilee Apron

I've created a Jubilee inspired apron as part of my apron range. The 50s style half apron is double sided, blue on one side, red on the other. With contrasting pockets on each side and a contrasting waist band. Perfect for preparing for a jubilee party... glamorous hostess!
